Transportation FAQs

Hello Everyone,

We have heard your concerns and questions and have prepared the following FAQs for you to look over.

For Illinois-specific questions and more details on RallyBus, please read this FAQ:

We will soon be releasing FAQs and informational packets from the National Team of organizers. This will hopefully answer questions on what to expect at the March, what may be allowed at the March and what might not be, and much more!

Please keep checking back for updates!

Here are several online fundraising campaigns started by awesome Illinoisans to help marchers in need! The links are organized by the cities that the fundraising campaigns serve. Please consider contributing to them if you can, and direct others to do the same. Also, reach out directly to the folks organizing them if you need sponsorship for travel to D.C.

RallyBus parking has been secured.

RFK stadium will be the location of the parking. This area is directly connected to public transportation (DC metro) and is about a 30 MINUTE WALK from the starting location of the march.

Here are the options to get to the starting location of our march:

  1. You can walk the 30 minutes, to the start location at Independence Ave. & 3rd St SW.

  2. You can pre-purchase a DC SmarTrip card (recommended) so you can ride public transportation, directly from RFK stadium.

(Currently, the national team is working on a 3rd option for shuttle buses, but these plans are not yet in place nor solidified.)

Washington Area Mass Transit Authority ( offers reusable SmarTrip cards to pay Metrorail and Metrobus fare.

  • The website is user friendly, gives downloadable maps, schedules, and fare costs from all locations. The card is mailed to you, due to high demand, if you plan on purchasing - do so ASAP.

  • If you already own a SmarTrip card and you're adding value to current SmarTrip cards, wait until you are within 30 days of arrival. Purchases expire if you do not touch your card to a card reader within that period of time. This does NOT apply to NEW CARDS purchased today.

The National Website also has many links for DC accessibility here: (this includes handicap accessibility information)
